JACKIE ROBINSON BATH HOUSE

This project proposes transforming the garden area adjacent to the Jackie Robinson Park pool in New York City into a public, year-round bathhouse. Developed to counteract seasonal limitations, as the existing outdoor pool only operates during the summer. The design establishes a permanent, all-weather civic space that remains accessible year-round. The architecture directly responds to the site’s challenging topography, navigating dramatic elevation shifts caused by the steep, sloping terrain. Cultivating a rich representation style, the project utilizes a hybrid workflow that bridges tactile graphite hand drawings for initial conceptual work with advanced digital modeling and visualization in Rhino, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
